How do I do it?
As a dance teaching student at Pretoria Technical University I started Pilates classes as a form of cross training. I soon fell in love with the method and did my first Pilates course at university. I believe that Pilates is a powerful tool for improving physical and mental well-being, and I am committed to making it easily accessible. I have trained as a BASI Comprehensive student up to Mentorship level and have joined numerous courses since my first qualification in 2001. My approach is based on a deep understanding of the human body and its movement patterns, and I use that knowledge to create customised programs that meet the unique needs of each individual client. As a certified Instructor for Special Populations and Pre- and Post-Natal work I also enjoy working with people with special conditions. As a MAP Movement trainer I teach this unique method to help people move easier and with more confidence. When in a group setting I aim for a balanced approach. I particularly enjoy teaching private sessions, where we get to work on tailored programs for each client. For clients that want to look a little deeper into their movement patterns I apply the B3 technique during private sessions where I do muscle testing and rehabilitative Pilates exercises to solve neurological patterning in their bodies.
O, and I am also a Barre Teacher and have my own barre teacher training program that is fully developed and might soon launch in the UK. Barre classes are so much fun. It just always ends back on my schedule. Educating other instructors are my way to give back to the industry that has thought me soo much over the years. And to keep spreading the nuggets of knowledge I have picked up from other brilliant teachers. I often provide client or teacher focused workshops and training programs.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced mover, I am here to help you achieve your goals and move more comfortably through life.

Here is a bit more information regarding the movement methods Sulene uses.
